Why the Irish?
A letter from the Irish Staff:

Different and better.

This is not about what grade school you attend or what high school you will attend. This is about creating a basketball organization that really teaches the game of basketball. People talk about fundamentals all the time, but how often are those fundamentals being taught on a consistent basis with proper progressions at each skill and age level? Many of us were lucky enough to learn from some of the best in the tri-state area growing up...Dick Holiday, Bill Flaherty, Pete Flynn, Dick Fox, Andy Schultz, Jim Delsandro, Tom Barringer, and the list goes on. They taught the game to all of our area youth with passion and knowledge. We want to continue that legacy by sharing a similar passion and knowledge with as many girls as possible in our basketball community, in the area.

The Erie Irish will focus on skills and concepts taught for grades 4-12.  The organization will partner with a character matters program that includes the players, coaches, and parents.  The Irish staff believes that we have a special blueprint that one can follow to attain success on and off the court and are excited to share that blueprint with everyone involved.
